Statement

Johan Jonsson (b. in Södertälje in 1977) graduated with a Masters degree from the Royal College of Art in 2006, and has over the years worked within different fields of design for numerous studios and clients internationally. In the past years, Johan Jonsson has re-established himself in Stockholm, Sweden where he currently works with commercial clients combined with a series of lengthy self-initiated projects, which lies somewhere between art and engineering. Thought-provoking, ironic and concept based the work can take any shape and medium, often finding inspiration in desire, exploitation, strategies and manipulation.
